Addison Rae has been a celebrity on social media as a dancer and singer for years. She's best known for uploading lip sync and dance videos on her TikTok popular account, addisonre. Forbes magazine published a report in August 2020 which included Addison Rae to the list of the top TikTokers in the world. She's also among the top TikTok users. Addison Rae, in addition to being popular on TikTok is also famous as well on Instagram YouTube and Twitter. In 2021 she first made an appearance as a singer-songwriter by releasing her debut single "Obsessed". It peaked at the number four spot on New Zealand Hot Singles Chart and became the sixth most being watched YouTube video the day after the release. Addison Rae has also received nominations at prestigious ceremonies including People's Choice Awards MTV Movie & TV Awards and Kids Choice Awards.
